Pasupuleti Venkata Bangarraju (born July 28, 1962), known professionally as Krishna Vamsi, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. After working as an assistant director on *Siva* (1989), he made his directorial debut with the crime film *Gulabi* (1995). His next release, the romantic drama *Ninne Pelladatha* (1996), won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu and the Filmfare Award for Best Director – Telugu.

In 1997, Vamsi wrote and directed the political action drama *Sindhooram*, which earned the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu. During this period, he directed *Chandralekha* (1998), *Anthahpuram* (1998), *Samudram* (1999), and the supernatural fantasy *Murari* (2001). He subsequently directed *Khadgam* (2002), for which he won his third Filmfare Award for Best Director – Telugu, and made his Hindi cinema debut that same year with *Shakti: The Power* (2002).

His directorial work through the 2000s and 2010s included *Sri Anjaneyam* (2004), *Chakram* (2005), *Danger* (2005), *Rakhi* (2006), *Chandamama* (2007), *Sasirekha Parinayam* (2009), *Mahatma* (2009), *Mogudu* (2011), *Paisa* (2013), *Govindudu Andarivaadele* (2014), and *Nakshatram* (2017). He later directed the drama *Rangamarthanda* (2023).
