She later moved to Los Angeles to pursue her passion for acting and earned her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Acting from UCLA. Tubbs further refined her craft by training with renowned acting coach Ivana Chubbuck at her studio in Hollywood.

Tubbs began her acting career with appearances in television series such as Stranger Things, Into the Badlands, and Ozark. Over the years, she built a diverse portfolio, appearing in productions like The Walking Dead (as Margo), Cobra Kai (as Nurse Patricia), and P-Valley (as Tripp's Mama).
